Do you have
a need to combine multiple twitter accounts into a master twitter feed?
Imagine you
run a company and need to display tweets from your employees on a unified twitter
account. Now you don’t want your employees to have to log into out of multiple
accounts. This is easier to do than you might think, the method which follows
makes use of RSS feeds the free TwitterFeed service.
Get the Feed URL for all of your
Twitter users that need to included in your unified Twitter account
-
Your first step is to open up the Twitter search page http://search.twitter.com and type the
following search term in the query field from:username (replace
username for the username of a user) in my example the above query would read from:netmoneyfaq (the query you have just performed
will find the most recent posts for the username you have just specified)
- Now you
will notice in the top right hand corner a link named Feed for this Query
right click and copy this feed address to your notepad. (Repeat steps 1 and 2
for all Twitter user you need published under your unified company Twitter
account

you are logged in click Create new feed
- For the
Field Create New XX Feed select twitter from the drop down box

and Twitter account by clicking >>

of the other fields set as default just like the screenshot below.

process in TwitterFeed for all of your users Twitter accounts

Advanced Twitter & TwitterFeed
method tweet only specific tweets
Now if you
want to get a little more advanced, and have the requirement to only post
specific tweets from your employees, you can easily do so with the use of the TwitterFeeds
feature Filter by keywords along
with a pre defined search string or hash tag (i.e. #CompPst)
You would
simply tell your staff if they need to tweet to the companies twitter account
to include the has tag #CompPst (or any other pre determined string, preferably
shorter) to their Tweet, then one you have the same string set in the field Filter by keywords only posts with your
pre-defined string will be tweeted under the company’s twitter account.
